I do not know where to begin. I never considered myself a feminist but after learning about who a feminist is, I can say proudly that I am a feminist. I applied and was invited to become apart of Women in Leadership and Learning (WILL) in April 2013. At the end of the April, I participated in our annual retreat where I was able to meet other WILLers and delve into deep feminine discourse. After completing this two day retreat. We commenced our regular meetings Fall semester. I cannot even begin to explain all I have learned with this group so far. Not only am I interacting with other like-minded women in this group, but my beliefs and thought process are also being challenged. I was able to learn about intersectionality in my Intro to Women's Studies class during the semester and connect it to the activities we were completing at each of our meetings. This year's past retreat was also another life-changing experience as we welcomed a new set of WILLers. I am so excited to get to grow in leadership with these new women. One of the points during this school year that was a growing experience for me I think was the blog post I contributed to the WILL website. This post was a critical look on my experience with a public school in Cincinnati.
